My name is Margarita Fomenko and I create my art with love and care, whether it’s a watercolor painting or an illustration for a children’s book. I enjoy illustrating children’s stories because it feels special to help bring words to life for young readers. I love adding small, whimsical details to my illustrations that spark curiosity and invite kids to ask questions.

I also enjoy painting outside and doing quick sketches on location. It helps me connect with a place and capture its atmosphere and emotion.

My watercolor art is inspired by the places I’ve lived, visited, and connected with. You’ll find many sailboats in my portfolio not only because I love painting them, but because I spend time sailing as well. Living near the ocean draws me to water-themed subjects, but I also love capturing cityscapes and architecture from around the world. In addition to landscapes, I create custom watercolor portraits of pets and people, each crafted with care and attention to detail.
